The motto for this shop is "Where the Rockies meet the Smokies"
and if you ever get a chance to visit, you will understand why. Steve and Terri Shoemaker are the owners of this
great little place in the Glades Center, which is a part of the Great Smoky Mountains Arts and Craft loop.
Steve is a nationally recognized nature photographer. His
amazing tributes to the beauty of the world that God created are showcased here. Terri is a designer and her touches
are seen in the shop at every turn.
Located in the heart of Gatlinburg in the Baskin Square mall, the Terri Waters Gallery showcases
the amazing watercolors of the namesake artist.
There are no words to fully give credit to the beauty of the work or the personality of Robert
Alewine. Alewine Pottery is just down the street from Mountain Visions Gallery along the Craft Community loop.
Robert Alewine is a joy to spend time with as it is obvious that he is passionate about his
craft. He is a great friend and source of support for our efforts.
The home page for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. From here you can link to
an "in depth" page from which there are links to many of the area communities and attractions.
This is a great central resource of information about this area.
If you have never made a tour of the Blue Ridge Parkway, you need
to make it a priority. Truly one of the most beautiful drives in America!!! The southern terminus begins
near Cherokee, North Carolina. It travels the Blue Ridge mountains northward for 469 miles. Then you
can pick up the Skyline Drive through the Shenandoah National Park.
This web link provides great information on the Parkway.
Found out about this from some friends that also do crafting
events and festivals. I have already gotten my copy of the publication. A wonderful source of information
for artists and crafters or for people who love attending crafting events and festivals.

The oldest craft guild in Tennessee. Started
in Oak Ridge over 30 years ago, the Foothills Guild strives to promote and develop quality works of art. We are
proud to be members of this association.
Open to all Tennessee Artists and Craftsmen. Based in Nashville. We
are also proud to be members of this organization.
Both of the above organizations promote education,
knowledge, originality and assistance to turners and "want to be" turners. We are proud to be associated with
both.
