Rocky Mountain Memories
I promised to tell you about this piece,
so here is the story. Inspired by our "road trip" vacation
in the Fall of 2002, (Hi Judi! ), this design,
that I could not get out of my mind,
has been created "on paper" since
shortly after our return.
I have just been awaiting the right opportunity
to construct it and now we
are thrilled with the results.
It was worth the wait.
When you are in the room with this glass, you
almost feel that you are looking
at a three dimensional picture.
This effect was created with a cleaver
use of the lead lines.
It is a great illusion!
At 4 feet by 4 feet, this "painting in
glass" of the breathtaking Rocky Mountains,
actually the Grand Tetons to be exact,
fills the bathroom window of a east Tennessee
home.
