Winter is usually the "quiet time" for most artists and crafters
as we build up our inventory and prepare for the start of the festival season in the spring. Well, this past year,
our quiet time was very pleasantly interrupted by a wonderful customer, (and new friend) currently living in Atlanta, Georgia,
Jan Meacham.
Jan is building an amazing home in the north Georgia mountains
overlooking Lake Raburn. We were very honored to met her and to build 5 custom windows for her new home.
The first window, above, should look familiar to you. It
was the inspiration for the "new" vertical version of Smoky Ridges. Utilizing many different textures of clear
glass and a few bevels for extra sparkle, we were thrilled with the finished product. For the sake of energy efficiency
and "safety", we had all of the stained glass for this home "sandwiched" into insulated glass units.
