Summer's Arrival
A dear friend of mine once called this photo the "perfect"
artist retreat.
I could not agree more.
This first photo is our porch complete with windchimes, plants, ceiling fans, some stained
glass and lots of places to sit, read or relax. During the warmer months, our "views" around here are obscured
by the canopy of leaves in the trees but I would never remove them just to open up the vista. It reminds me of
living in a treehouse.
We have been so busy here at the studio for the past couple of weeks
that our "adventures" have been limited but I did want to show you around a little and share some of "close to home"
beauty that we cherish.
Plants and flowers are some of our favorite things and the ones
that are "self sufficient" are real high up on my list. These daylilies are planted in different spots
all around our studio. We have many varieties, colors, and sizes. Well....... actually we probably
have close to 500 plants. They have a varying bloom schedule and provide us with a show for many weeks during
the warmer months.
